At Belmont Early Education we are wholeheartedly committed to providing one of the leading early education opportunities for children in the local area. We pride ourselves on adhering to the principles and learning outcomes governed in the Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines. We aim to achieve exceeding results in regards to educational outcomes for the children in our care, and always pursue the exceeding elements set out in both the National Quality Framework and the National Quality Standards.
We will always work closely and collaboratively with the families of the children in our care, as we recognise that parents and the immediate family of the children are definitively the primary educators in their children’s lives. As highly qualified Educators, we will ensure that any individual programs and experiences for your family goals for your child(ren) are always communicated with you as parents/guardian. We highly respect and value all of our family/parents input into the program, as it gives us an opportunity to guide the children towards building a foundation of independence and autonomy in having a “hands on” approach to their own learning and the feeling of confidence and self-esteem that comes with it.
At Belmont Early Education, we implement mainly an “emergent curriculum” within all of our age groups within the service. Therefore we plan and deliver a program that takes into account the interests and learning goals of the children and plan and implement programs and experiences that are considered fun and engaging by the children, yet have clear and unambiguous learning outcomes attached to their early education. All of our documentation and communication for the children’s Early Education can be seen on our online portal “StoryPark.”
We recognise that all children are individuals, have differing abilities and personalities. This is the enduring reasoning behind why we deliver the best individual programs for each individual child in our care, and make sure that these programs deliver on all the individual children’s learning outcomes. As each room has their own age grouping, we will provide high quality age appropriate programs that delivers on the interests and needs of the children within each given age setting.
As we run mainly an emergent curriculum in our rooms, we believe that “capturing the moment” in a child’s learning journey is also very important. Allowing some of the children’ learning opportunities to come in the form of “spontaneous” experiences where they may plan and participate in experiences that are impromptu in nature.
